As the seasons change so does the weather

Kind of a side track posting as I look out at all the snow we got over the past couple of days.  It really amazes me that no matter what the weather is, all you hear are complaints:

  • It's too hot!
  • It's too cold!
  • I wish it would rain.
  • When is the rain going to stop?
  • I wish it would snow.
  • I'm so tired of all this snow!

And the list can go on and on....

Sort of reminds me of what you hear many times when "hanging out" with a group of other agents, except the topics are about the market:

  • Nothing is selling.
  • Banks aren't lending.
  • Can't find any buyers.
  • Can't find any sellers.
  • I have to get a second or third job.

And this list can go on and on....

I think that as we have the different seasons in the weather, we also have different seasons in the real estate business.  We need to look for the positive in the seasons of the weather just as we should look for the positive in the seasons of real estate.  There is ALWAYS good to be found!! You just have to look for it.

Enjoy the weather, no matter what it is... the season will change and so will the weather.

Enjoy the real estate season, no matter what it is... the season will change and you need to change with it.

Positive outlooks, help create positive results.  BUT it still takes an effort  to create or find those results.

I absolutely agree with you. Negative thoughts bring negative actions. It does take an effort to find the good in today's market, but it will pay off.

Thanks for the post Jon!  You are absolutely right about enjoying the weather and making the best of whatever comes - one thing is for sure, it will always be "a changing"!

Love you analogy! And quite often the power of positive thinking creates positive results.
