For the past nineteen years, the San Diego Master Gardener Association has held an annual Spring Home Gardening Seminar, but it's much more than just one seminar. There are 27 classes scheduled this year on March 27, beginning at 7:45 a.m. and ending at 3:00 p.m. Cost is $20 for one class, but you can get multiple class discounts: $35 for two classes and $45 for three classes. This year will also see a larger marketplace where both vendors and master gardeners will be selling plants, books, birdhouses, and lots of other items to make your garden a place to relax and enjoy. This is a popular event, so early registration is encouraged. A complete class list and a registration form are available at the master gardener web site or by calling the hotline at 858-694-2860. The hotline is staffed Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Jim,
We're almost back into that time of year again. Re-stain the decks, tidy the yard, weekly lawn cuts. Jeez, winter does have its advantages.
Hey, Terry - Winter here brings rain, which tends to make the grass and bushes grow on the hillside. Then the rains quit and there's not enough water to keep the grass and bushes growing, so they die. Then the summer comes and dries them out. Then some idiot throws a cigarette out of his car window and burns down the mountainside and many homes. If we could just get Nature to spread out our rain over twelve months instead of twelve days.
Hey, Carra - I think Russel and I are going to go to it this year. Our problem is that we hate to spend money on something that requires advance registration and then have a Client call wanting this and that, and to pay us for doing this and that. In those cases, we'll usually sacrifice the class money to have a bigger payday, but doing that means that someone else who might have wanted to attend couldn't because we had reservations.
Jim - could you give your advance registration to some client that you needed an excuse to contact?
