New Job

By
Real Estate Agent with The Warren Company Real Estate & Mortgage Brokers

I just got offered a new job as a loan originator.  I am a bit "in the dark" as to what this particularly entails because the position does not require a license.  The gentleman I spoke to gave me a quick run down but I  still feel "in the dark" about what exactly this is.  They do FHA and Conventional but how can I sell or even communicate with these potential clients without my DRE license?  Is there exceptions to the rule?  And what is the best method for obtaining leads?

My dad once told me never do a job that "everybody" thinks they can do like being a Realtor or lender. By the way, my dad is a Realtor and so am I. I would get a technology certification and work on computers. Nobody knows anything about that.
