TREC IAC Subcommittee teleconference - 2/9/10

By
Home Inspector with Capital City Inspections TREC #7290

Attached are my personal notes from today’s, 2/9/10, TREC IAC SOP/Commentary subcommittee teleconference. Bottom line, the Commentary moves forward with a high likelihood of being incorporated in one manner or the other into the SOP and will become an ‘enforceable document’.

Howdy and Evenen there Michael

First I sure want to say. Thank you kindly for always given your time to help keep your fellow inspectors in Texas informed, about the teleconferences and then posten your notes for them to read.

With the puss for maken the Commentary an enforceable document. I really wonder who the group is thinking of. As to if they are really thinking of the Texas inspectors or are they thinking of and looking out for other business folks of the real estate industry.

Dale, there's a lot of politics involved that are usually over my head. The Commentary subcommittee 'says' they want the Commentary to help the inspectors as well as the public. That's pretty hard to accept however. For those of you wanting to hear 1st hand how one of these teleconferences sounds then go to this website to hear a 1 hour audio file of the meeting. Unfortunately, you have to listen to at least 3/4 of it to get a good feel for the tone of the attendees.
