Extra, Extra! You Moose Read About It!

I had this great moose photo that I received via email from a friend of mine which I thought would be great for Moose Monday.  I waited patiently to Monday to post it at Moose Monday but my Canadian Buds (Al and Peggy Cunningham) also got their hands on the same photo and posted to the group before I had the chance.   Imagine my big surprise when I was having my Monday morning coffee and the first post which I visited after logging on to ActiveRain was Al and Peggy's Moose Monday (Moose Monday - How Much Do You Love Your Moose?) post!  I don't know how but they moose have read my mind!

So I decided to come back later that day to post something else to the Moose Monday group and next thing I know the day went by before I knew it.   In my last Monday Moose post (Moose Monday - Go Habs Go! Go Moose Go! Presenting the Montreal Canadiens Moose), I posted a photo of a Montreal moose which I brought with me to Red Lodge.  I only recently realize that I had unintentionally brought a Red Lodge moose with me to Montreal during my most recent visit.   See if you can find him in the following photo.

Gerry in Montreal - January 2010

I am reading the Local Rag at the Kondiaronk Belvedere atop Mount Royal overlooking downtown Montreal.

This photo made it in the February 2010 issue of the Local Rag (Where Do You Read Your Local Rag?).

I apologize if this post gets people confused.  This Moose Monday post was actually posted on a Tuesday.  Please note that I did accept Moose Monday posts from AR members on days other than Monday in the past (you moose make exceptions from time to time especially if your a moosely happy person).

Happy Tuesday!

I have always LOVED Bullwinkle and I see him peeking out at me.  My son's girlfriend loves moose but we obviously don't have ANY in Spring TX.

Clever of Bullwinkle to hide out on the back page! Maybe since you are in "Rocky" Mountain territory, he got a little help from his friend(s)...=o)

Shoshana,

It is a moose but not a dancing one.  Let us know if you had some moose sightings after seeing the moose license plate?

Marc,

Thank you for the nice translations!  Believe it or not, I never learned what the word moose is in Armenian (I know deer "Yekhnig" but not moose).   Funny enough, I made a search on Yahoo for Armenian moose and what did I see on the first page, a link to my blog!!! :)

Marchel,

Bullwinkle wanted to say hi and knew you would like seeing him in the least of expected places.

Cynthia,

What is the voice saying?  I am glad this post brought a good memory of your childhood.   As you have noticed, I have been doing lots of mooseings about moose lately.  I am pleased that you dropped by this moose post and got to see one of your childhood favs.  :)

Al and Peggy,

You are welcome.  It is always a pleasure to mention your names and I have mentioned your names many times and positively here in Red Lodge.  We must have some of the same friends.  Lol.   Great minds do think alike!   No problem about stealing the thunder.   I know that I can count on my Canadian Buds to post a good moose photo when they see one.  :)

Cheryl,

I had forgotten that his was on the back page when the photo was taken.   Sure enough, when I saw the photo on my computer and realized there was actually a moose in the photo, I knew Bullwinkle would make it on to ActiveRain's Moose Monday group.   He does have friend(s) in the "Rocky" mountain territory and one with a famous name that is easy to remember.  :)

This going to sound goofy Gerry but when ever I see a moose I start talking like Bullwinkle, just to say hi to my husband Ted.... (speaking in Bullwinkle's voice I'd say "Hey Teddy, watcha going?"

I know, I know it doesn't translate well when written, lol :) But just do it Bullwinkle's voice!

Cynthia,

It is good to be goofy once in a while.  Otherwise, life would not be fun and nothing beats getting a smile on the face of a loved one even if that means doing it Bullwinkle's voice.  Thank you for sharing the amoosing info.   :)

I got a little woozy from the height!  I just asked my Armenian husband what the Armenian word for moose is and he doesn't know either!  I hope all is well in your beautiful neck of the woods.

Wow, Gerry, you are really steeped in Moose. I love Bullwinkle: he's probably the reason for my moose obsession.

Wouldn't a moose be a moose in any language?

I always get a kick out of listing to the Spanish news station where all of the English words with no translations get sprinkled throughout the news.
