Through the Army's BRAC (Base Realignment and Closure) initiative The Armor School at Fort Knox, KY will be moving to Ft. Benning, GA. This will be a $3.5 million capital investment. The Department of Defense estimates the amount of people to the area including Military Service members, government civilian workers, and government contractors along with spouses and children to be over 28,000 people! The Armor School move starts March 2010 and should be complete in September of 2011.
These people will need homes!
