Will 2010’s RE market be better or worse?

 Sometimes I get asked that question. To be honest, none of us knows for sure whether or not the market will get better or worse next year

 But, it simply doesn’t matter for the agents that who find out how to take advantage of the down market. They will be the ones who go out and find a way to make any deal that can be made in prevailing market conditions. Make no mistake, there are always homes selling.

 You can’t use methods that worked in a boom market, and expect them to work just as well in today’s market. If you learn how to prosper in today’s market, then you are assured to be successful when the market comes back.

 Vince Lombardi said that luck is what happens when preparedness meets opportunity. We have a tougher go than his players did, because opportunity isn’t always coming our way. Instead, we have to go out and find it. If you get to work in today’s market, find the motivated buyers and sellers, and put in the effort then you will prosper and set yourself up for a strong career in this business

 How do you find the motivated sellers? Just look around. Drive down the road, and write down the address of any vacant, abandoned, or junky houses. Pull up the owner, call them up, and see if they want to sell. You’d be amazed at the low prices they want for those houses. Look in the MLS and you’ll see the expired listings and withdrawns. Look in your public records and you’ll find the Pre-Foreclosures.
