When looking for your CUSTOM HOME you should BUILD what you want - the "deal" is not always best. The "deal" may be a deal for a reason such as an outdated floor plan, small garage, unstable community, or low ceilings in the basement. All of these reasons may not translate into future appreciation in your home value. You may have settled. In reality there are great large acreage lots available at discounted prices, some building materials are reduced in cost and custom builders have time to dedicate to your custom home. Everyone is watching today's dollars but home ownership in a great community has great long term investment
