Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams

The question was:  "My financial provider does what's best for me, not just its own bottom line." The results are based on a survey of about 4,500 consumers.  The worst banks in order:

1.  Bank of America

2.  Chase

3. Capital One

4. TD/Commerce

5. Fifth/Third

6. Citi

Just had a webinar with Wachovia/Wells Fargo yesterday.  They were promoting their new short sale progam  which is set up to close the short sales in max of 45 days, with answers to ooffer in 7-10 days.  Sounds too good to be true but we can hope.

I don't know about the others, but the first two are dead on!

Too bad some of these banks are "too big to fail."  I wonder what employee morale is like at these banks.  It's difficult to be proud to work for one of the least trusted banks.

More opinions than you want to hear about.

The article says that these are the bottom seven, but the orrder is actually least bad to worst.  It also indicates that, other than USAA which got a 64% favorable response, all others received less than half, with ING Direct coming in second with 46%.  This seems to indicate that most folks don't like their bank.  On the other side of the coin, I think that credit unions generally have a high level of customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Katie - I was just talking to someone about this list yesterday.  She is a wells fargo customer and had nothing nice to say about them.  She and her hubby are looking into changing their accts to a credit union.  Hubby and I switched from chase to wescom credit union months ago.  So glad we did - chase is horrible.
