We stage in all types of weather . . . well maybe not blizzards!

Home Stager with A Different View

We've staged in pounding rain, snow and temps in the high nineties. But we've never encountered conditions like this:

We're currently in the midst of a howling blizzard with blinding snow and fifty-mile per hour winds. With more than thirty inches on the ground and another ten inches of snow expected I don't think we'll be getting into our storage unit anytime soon.

To those on the eastern seaboard stay safe. Fortunately this is a once in a lifetime event (hopefully).

OMG....hard for me to imagine this type of weather or even trying to stage in harsh conditions.  I complain when it's raining and I have to stage.....dragging stuff in/out of the car.  Stay safe & warm INSIDE!!!

It's beautiful, but I know it's a pain.  Hope you have lots of warm food!  We're opposit, in the summer it's 100+ humidity and awfully hot, with mosquitos flying everywhere, no fun then either!

I can't even imagine having that much snow. I just heard on the news that the snow levels are breaking records.  Stay safe!

Thanks for all the warm wishes. We're slowly beginning to dig out. We didn't see a plow in our neighborhood so the guys on the block dug us out with shovels and snow blowers. It was a huge task but really nice to see the neighbors come together.

Now we're hoping the melting snow stays outdoors. We've already had one ice dam this morning with water coming through the windows and soaking a floor. There's over three feet of snow on our roof and no way to safely remove it. Hopefully we'll have a slow warm-up over the next week or so.

The biggest issue now is cabin fever - all my projects for next week are on hold or delayed. It will take a couple of weeks for things to get back to normal. Hopefully, we won't see storms like this again for another hundred years.

We haven't seen one of those storms in a long time.  I was actually looking forward to being snowed in this week but nothing happened.  6 inches is not enough.

I daming is a real problem.  My suggestion is to fine salt or any de-icer.   Thow it up on the roof and create a gutter for the water to run off.   I've done this for years and it's saved me many a problem.

I see snow...I do not go! 12  years on top of this mountain I'm on and I have learned to just stay home. That is a heck of a lot of snow!
