The 2010 Bryan / College Station and surrounding areas has had a promising start. Total number of units sold during the month of January were up from 2009 at 89 closings, with the average days on the market remaining about the same at 126 days. Not bad for a college town that peaks during the summer months.......

Average sales price for the first month of the year dropped slightly to $170,237 when compared to the same month in 2009 at $171,624 however it still remains astonishingly higher than 2008 when the average sale price was $148,314. So who says that there's no money for lending out there......?

New listings taken have lowered a little from 379 for 2009 to 344 for the same period in 2010. What's going on? Now is not the time to be sitting on the fence when deciding to list your property for sale. The Bryan / College Station and surrounding area is still thriving, so contact us and we will show you the figures and help to relieve any worries you may have. You can also check out any of the following blog posts regarding the real estate market in this area to help you climb off that fence.......

2009 Bryan / College Station Real Estate Roundup.....

Bryan / College Station, TX, among lowest foreclosure rates in U.S.....

Monthly sales total have also risen when compared to January 2009, so I ask the question again.....Who says there's no money for lending out there.......?

It's a privilege to be able to live and work in a community where we seem to be protected by all the national economic and real estate woes. The numbers provided by The Bryan - College Station Regional Association of REALTORS® and the Bryan - College Station Multiple Listing Service prove this.

Or you can just take a look around you and see all of the construction that's taking place, new roads and improvements by the twin cities, new apartments and single family homes being built, new shopping centers being development, these are all the signs of a growing and vibrant community.  Not of a cummunity overshadowed by high foreclosure rates and high unemployment.

So if your worried about venturing out to buy a new home and perhaps take advantage of the Homebuyers tax credit or if your concerned that your home will not sell but instead remain stagnant on the real estate market, then allow us to present you with some real numbers for Brazos County and the surrounding counties or perhaps even take you on tour of this growing developing town.
