How to get a Vanity URL on Facebook!

Do you ever wish you could tell someone your Facebook address?

Sure you tell people, "Find me on Facebook" or "Look me up on Facebook", but it would be nice to tell them how to get straight to your profile or your fan page.

Facebook held off introducing vanity urls for a long time and finally relented.

Don't know what a vanity url is?  Well it looks like this:

http://www.facebook.com/makingyoufindable

Notice how that link takes you straight to my Fan Page?

Tom - I discovered this post a couple of days after I finally figured out to setup a vanity URL.

How do you make a video of a computer screen demonstration as you did?  Do you point the camera at the screen or do you use a software application.

I have a vanity URL for my profile page/personal page  facebook.com/rebecca.gaujot

And, it is the same URL for my Fan page

My question is...how can I have a different URL for my fan page? If so, how can I do this?

Once you name a page you can not change it. :(

With that being said, a fan page and personal page can not have the same URL?

Are you sure you set up a fan page?  If so it will hae a different URL then your profile page.

I used Camtasia Studio 6 for this video, and my other videos.  It's a great program.
