Think only high-end, luxury real estate benefits from Home Staging? Think again.

Home Stager with SHOW SMART! HOME STAGING & Color Consultant

Check out this $286,000 single family home in Hyattsville MD.  It was vacant for 3 months without any traffic let alone offers.  Would professional home staging help? Was it worth it?

Did it ever!  A full-price contract in a week's time, no less!  See more pictures and the Virtual Tour Show Smart Home Staging produced for this property on my blog at Cute Craftsman in Hyattsville.

Cute house, not surprised it sold quickly.  The outside is very appealing and makes you want to go inside!  I agree that staging is not just for more expensive homes ... we've staged many that are modest homes that look like a million after staging.

Patricia,

The curb appeal is very inviting... staging really does make a difference in the way a home is presented, whether it be large or small!

I can see why it sold so quickly and for full asking. That entrance is just so darn inviting looking.  It's like it's calling out to the buyer and screams "Welcome Home."  Great job, Pat and Congrats!

Patricia,

I actually am beginning to think that staging is more beneficial in lower to mid priced properties. These homes usually look more cluttered and often don't have the right accessories or furniture like the " house proud" higher priced ones do. De- cluttering, and a few key accessories go a long way in a home like that.

Well done. The only problem I find is trying to convince the client because the %cost seems higher for a lower priced home.  Vivian

It always helps!  Over the last 5 years we have staged hundreds of homes from as low as $70K all the way up to $2.5 Mil and our statistics tell us that staging improves the marketability of all homes.  Regardless of the price point of a home, as long as the home is priced appropriately, in good condition and showcased, it will sell and sell faster than those not showcased.

WOW!  Thanks everybody for stopping by.  I haven't blogged for a while.  would you believe me if I said it's cause I've been busy staging?  After this, I will for be for sure.  It's SO great getting feedback like this.  And, Easy Designer Websites just finished putting my new website  ShowSmartHomeStaging in place and I'm in the process of adding a lot of content to it.  They did a fabulous job.  I love it.  Check it out.  I highly recommend them.

Isn't it great to get offers right away?   I hope that your seller continues to use your service since you have proved to them that it works.

Unfortunately, Virginia, my client, the home seller, is moving out of the area.  That's the way with most of my direct clients, home sellers.  The repeat and referral business comes only from friendly, committed Realtors.  Is that the way with your business as well?
