Power of Sales and Foreclosures For Sale in Oakville, Ontario.

By
Industry Observer

If you are thinking of buying a home or real estate in Oakville, Ontario and would like the opportunity to try and save some money by buying a property or home that may need work and is accordingly lower priced, it's good idea to consider Power of Sales and Foreclosures.

Oftentimes a home under Power of Sale or Foreclosure needs cosmetic work or renovations of some kind and may be priced comparatively lower than homes that are not under power of sale.

There is no way for you to search on the mls system for power of sales since the owner of the property is not displayed to the public.

If you would like to be notified when ever a power of sale property comes on the market in your area and within your search criteria, you need to have a real estate sales representative assisting you.

REALTOR®s have access to all listings under the mls system and are able to determine which ones are under power of sale.
Buyers who are represented by REALTOR®S have first chance at viewing and bidding on one of these properties, potentially saving thousands of dollars.

If you are considering buying a home or investment property in Oakville, Ontario and would like to be kept updated by email or phone whenever a power of sale comes on the market, I would be happy to represent you and send you these listings on a daily basis.
There is no cost to you for this service.

Jo, Is that your talk?  I'm sure it will be interesting and informative.  There's so much to learn about buying foreclosures.

Jo...not being familiar with Canadian real estate, what would a Power of Sales be similar to in the US?

Carole,

Yes, myself and another agent are putting on the seminar along with a lawyer, home inspector and two mortgage reps.  We'll touch briefly on power of sale listings during the presentation.

Jo,

Good luck with this. I have participated in a few of these types of events however I haven't found them to be as successful as I'd like them to be.

Good luck with this and let me know how it goes. I used to do 2-4 of these a year and some were more successful than others. I now have my sales representatives do them with at least 3 buyer agencies being signed from each.

All the best

Michael,

Power of Sales are similar to Foreclosures, however the timelines are different as are the rules for redemption.

Terry,

I've represented the bank on power of sale listings as well as a few private lenders who had to take back a property......the good thing about them is that by the time they come to your, they're usually vacant.
