Paranormal Home Inspections

OK, this in and of itself is scary. But what scares me the most is to think there may be buyers who actually believe they need this service. Some folks are just not in touch. Maybe I'll become casper the friendly ghost home inspector.

Penn State has some class where they visit homes with spirits(?). I'm not exactly sure what they do, but I saw it on television one day as I was flipping through the channels.

Daniel,

I noticed they only charge for the extensive historical report they provide you with that outlines the property's past. They don't charge for investigating the paranormal itself.

I think this is a great service...if you had a full history report before you bought a  house, you would be a much more well-informed buyer!

Our team offered this service free to local realtors about a year ago-totally free-and have yet to be called by anyone.  Some ethnic groups and foreign buyers are asking questions about spirits and if persons have died in homes.  They are serious and if they suspect that death has occured onsite or if a place has stories about it they will not buy.  If a home is studied and has a " no hauntings found at this time" report it may cause it to sell-who knows.  I think it is wrong at this time to charge for services due to the nature of speculation and the relative infancy of paranormal investigation.
