Social Media bites me in the rear....

By
Real Estate Agent with 'Til Dawn Real Estate

I've been on board with this whole Social Media thing for awhile now. I'm a believer. I enjoy it. And I have reaped some benefits from it. Until now......I recently posted something on Facebook that has really come
back to       me in the rear....

No, I did not badmouth some client who then saw it and got angry or hurt. No, I did not disclose any personal information about a client. And no, I did not post anything that would embarassingly haunt me for the rest of my life. What I did was worse....much worse...

In an effort to promote an amazing product and share information that I just knew my friends would love to know...I robbed myself of a recently discovered guilty pleasure. After a long, hard day yesterday, I stopped by the store to pick myself up a little treat. To my horror and dismay, they informed me they are ALL OUT of

WHAT??? "How can this be," I ask. The manager informs me that word had gotten out and people were swarming the store and stocking up.

Oh word got out alright....I know I alone introduced several people to this amazing find of mine. The nerve of these people...to heed my recommendation, go buy this delectable treasure and then continue to buy it all up!

Sorry folks, but from here on in, you might just be on your own...

And for those who dare to doubt the impact of social media....watch out! It works...sometimes too well!!

Thank you Fernando!! Very kind of you.

Sue, do you actually think I'm about to share the info now??? LOL Sigh, fine as a fellow ActiveRainer, I will tell.... It's Chocolate Wine! Dutch chocolate mixed wtih Cabernet. It is AMAZING!!!! I like to describe it as chocolate milk with a "kick!" :)  Not sure what stores are in your area, but I have found it at Harris Teeter and Lowes Foods. We have a popular wine store chain here called Total Wine & More and they don't even carry it!

Kim - Lesson learned!! LOL I went to another store today and found some. I bought two bottles to get me through the snowy weekend :)

C - aww, thanks!

Kathie & C - if you have a Lowes Foods or Harris Teeter, or any other "higher priced" grocery stores....Although the wine itself is not expensive. $8.50 - $10 a bottle. Check out the website too...offers mixed drinks you can make with the wine also! I haven't tried any of those yet. I enjoy it so much as is....

Ha, ha Dawn, you crack me up!!!

Now to set the record straight....when you went to "another store" to find the ChocoVine, was it MY STORE??? And now you are putting MY STORE out in blog-land???

Have you tried it warm yet????

Dawn, Perfect blog analogy. Too bad so many are really afraid to share their good secrets with others. Don't they know that sharing is what makes us all better.

Ok ..out to find some of your special spirts..hey wait we don't even drink but looks like a wonderful gift to have on hand.

I would tell you about all my special listings but then you would tell everyone else and I couldn't get my special buyers in first. Oh what a problem to have!

Cara - LOL I think we had the same original store...HT? That was where I first found it also. But when I posted on Facebook, a friend went searching for it and found it for a dollar cheaper at Lowes Foods. So since it was a wee cheaper and I was passing by there on Thursday night, that's where I stopped to get it....and they were sold out! I was in a hurry to get home that night so I just didn't have time to bypass home and venture in the other direction to HT.
Or....is there another store???? Those are the only two I have found it at...so far....
Thanks for the tip that they had it on sale though! I didn't feel as guilty getting it last night LOL  I still haven't tried it warm yet. Last night would have been perfect but I just so love the chocolate milk taste of it cold...

Margaret - Thank you SOOO much for your call!!! You really made my day today!! I'm waiting for some other calls to get returned and don't want us to get interrupted, but I will certainly give you a call a little later! :)
