Time to Cash In On The Tax Credit

By
Real Estate Agent with Wilkinson & Associates
Last November, the Homebuyer Tax Credit was extended giving first time home buyers a tax rebate of $8,000 and $6,500 for qualified buyers who already own their home.

The tax credit applies to homes purchased before April 30, 2010 and to homes under contract by April 30, 2010 which will close by June 30, 2010.

Stop for a moment to consider the fact that it might take several weeks to choose the right home, it will take adequate time to negotiate the right price and terms, and another 30 days or so to process your mortgage loan. You’re looking at upwards of 60 days or more before you can close the transaction and move in.

Whether you are a first time homebuyer, or you are looking to move up to a larger home, now is the time to move forward on that home purchase. Charlotte has so many great neighborhoods in which to look for that dream home. The current prices are very attractive, interest rates are favorable, and there are some great deals out there.

Contact me for more information about homes for sale in your price range, as well as the home purchase process. I will be happy to recommend qualified home mortgage consultants who can pre-qualify you for your purchase and discuss available mortgage programs to meet your financial needs.
