Fall 2007 Colors for Interiors

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with Vizzitopia

Just when you thought you'd seen enough olive green to last the millenium... it's still ongoing. As are all of the traditional Arts and Crafts pallette.

Check out the Color Assocation's great new feature of interactive colors for Fall 2007.

Click on the section that is bolded:-

Now, here's where this is really handy...

when you walk into a home and find a strong dominant color, put it into the color forecast and try out any other colors from your inventory to see how to make it 'au courant', Fashion Forward, at least "of today".

Looks like bright teal is the only fun we're going to have this season...

hmmm, how to combine teal with unbelievable, LARGE, drift wood items at Pottery Barn and Home Goods this week!

PS --  is teal the new black? or is it still gray?

I thought brown was the new black?   Whenever I want to know what is hot right now I check out the windows at restoration hardware.  They really seem to have a pulse on what is hot.  (teal and brown as of today)

Yeah, I agree, but they always do navy in the summer, so I'm getting suspicious of them.

Thank God it's teal and brown!  I'm finishing a wonderful project for a model condo unit and those are the dominant colors I've selected!!!  What driftwood???  Tell me more!  Thanks for the heads-up on the color scene.  Julie

I saw driftwood featured at Pier One the other day, too. $15.00 for each piece. I was at the  beach this week and helped myself to the freebies instead! I plan to give them a dark stain and seal them with poly.

Well done, Kathy, that's the spirit. Oh, the centerpieces, the wall art, the objets you can create!!!  And why not?  You go, girl!  Wonder why it's all the rage all of a sudden?

drift wood is really in now! i think largely due to the eco-friendly lifestyle trend now. i like the teal & brown combo actually. i think it's pretty modern looking ;) i have plates in those colors!

I think that pink is in there too.  It is in with the fashion industry and that often dictates the colors in our industry too.

Lori - you're absolutely right.  There's a one year lag, though, they say.  To be really fashion forward, we should look at the palette in Paris, watch what comes out in the stores 4 - 6 months later for retail clothing and then know that that's where we're going next in interior design.

Cindy - I already gave you a shout out on the plates - I have them, too!  I was able to find some really fab napkin rings that went along with them  - beaded butterflies in the same shades of blue and brown.  I felt kinda "with it", I have to confess! <gr>
