Camas is wonderful!  The cloudy days take some getting used to ... but it is a VERY easy adjustment.  The area we are in is very 'country' (but I would not say rural as there is a McDonalds two minutes away - however - there is a RedTailed Hawk screaming outside my window and deer in my backyard).  The people are ridiculously friendly ... and the scenery is gorgeous.  Nothing is more than 30 minutes away (including downtown Vancouver & Portland).  East Vancouver is a very up & coming area, is sooooooo clean and offers so much variety of stores and restuarants it is unbelievable (all the while you can look past the stores and see view of Mt St Helens and Mt Hood).  It is a great, great place.  OH - and there is a huge influx of Californians coming to this area.
