Experience Is Your Advantage

Dude, it pitiful if all you have to sell is being a direct lender.  Your customers want expertise and a large selection of competitively priced product reqardless if it direct or brokered.

As for slection of product... the smallest mortgage broker with access to many lenders always has a better selection of product than the largest direct lenders and that includes, B of A, Wells Fargo, Chase and Citibank.

As for pricing, it is a rare day when a direct lender can beat broker prices.  Check our a broker vs. direct lender survey conducted for over a year on my web site.

Direct Lender

I have been a broker for the last 13 years, so not the 40 years that you have been.  I used to believe that brokers offered the best rates, but now with the volume discounts that we are able to receive and the higher fees that our wholesalers are charging, our rates and fees are much lower.  This is based on the same fair prices that I have charged for the last 13 years.  I'm not discounting that someone like yourself may have a lower source or may charge less.  However, overall I have seen better rates and lower fees since we have become a direct lender.

Thanks for your response.

PS: Also check your post for spelling errors. Nothing like a little competition to getting your day to go by faster.

** I'd rather deal with someone who does his own advertising and doesn't start a post using the word "Dude,"  but that's just me. **
