Homes Sold in Weston, CT 2009 vs. 2010

Weston sales

The market in Weston, CT has picked up, and is a slowly recuperating patient.   There were more homes sold this January, and in fewer days on average.  The average price has also increased, slightly, but all is hopeful.

The interest rates being as low as they are, and the prices remaining depressed, will create a good spring for the towns of Wilton, Weston, Faiefield, Norwalk, Redding, and Ridgefield.

The four year construction of Route 7, going through the middle of all of these towns, in particular, Wilton, has also contributed to the slowdown of sales.  Now that all construction is finished, things should pick up.

Dagny-Wilton looks like a great village-I just love the homes, they are so different from what we have here in the southwest.  Good luck with your sales.  I like the format of your report also.

Hi Dagny,

this is great information. the DOM data seems to be a little cut off for the 2009 figures, but if I interpret them correctly, it looks like that in 2010 the houses sold on average 7 days faster than on 2009.

When looking at the total difference between list and sales price, the sales price was on average "only" $66,250 lower in 2010 compared to $141,280 lower in 2009. These are good signs for the Weston market. :)

I am always available for staging homes to help getting the DOM down and the sales price up.
