Harrison,

That is some really good information.  They really kicked my space out of the social media scene.

Facebook continues to be my #1 source of leads.  I picked up 2 Buyers and 1 Seller in the last 2 days.  Love it!

Hi Richard and Jared! facebook is such a powerful tool when used correctly! I think the MySpace just failed to grow with their users, while facebook matured. MySpace has made some attempts, but it seems a little too late for them.

Have a wonderful Wednesday guys!!

LOVE IT!

Facebook really seemed promising, and I continue to get contacts from there, but I can't find a deal in the past 6 months that has taken place because of it.

One thing that I'm curious about (your opinion) is the new google social media site.

Chirs, I am going to be doing a post on Google Buzz soon. I never seem to like a platform when it is first released, and need to spend more time with it to give an honest review. I was not a fan of Google Wave for the first few months, but now find myself using it on a pretty regular basis.

Google is such a player, so it can not be overlooked. I believe the power in Buzz will probably be more on the mobile side. Still not sure how it is going to stack up with the likes of foursquare/Gowalla though.

Facebook is a place for opportunity, for sure.  However, I am still a little skeptic about making friends with people I have no idea who they are.  Should I create a business page? And how effect is that?

I add nobody who is not a freind or at least that I have some idea who it is. Strangers can email from there and talk to me if they so choose. I assume a" lead "would do that, not add as a friend.

Raine: As a Real Estate Professional, your life is really not all that private. However, if you use your facebook page more for personal use, then I would absolutly use a fan page to keep things a bit separated. That said, the agents that are crushing it now have have blended business and personal into the space, because people do not just want to do business with a professional, they want to do business with real folks they can identify with. That is what this space offers! Feel free to contact me anytime with questions. Always here to help the A|R community!

Jerry: Would love to see you get more active, feel free to ask me questions anytime!

Pat: You could be losing a lot of business with such a tight social contract. I am not saying you should just add people at random, but if somebody offers up a connection, it is my opinion you should give them a chance. You can always un-friend and/or block them later if need been. Since the real estate business is more about people than the houses,  I would never want to limit myself from potential relationships that could become profitable.
