Omaha Market Report Jan 2010

Real Estate Agent with Nebraska Realty -

January 2010 Omaha Real Estate Market Report. January 2010 is off to a good start.  Active listings are stable compared to January 2009. January 2010 active listings were 3,063, compared to January 2009 active listings of 3,130 a decline of only 2%.  Sold listings for January 2010 dropped from December 2009, but are up slightly compared to January 2009.

The decrease in active listings has helped stabilize home prices, but pricing continues to be under pressure. The drop in number of home sales can be contributed to cyclical factors in real estate and the cold weather.  I think buyers and sellers will start looking and selling in the next few weeks.
