Home Staging . . . Upstate NY - Here I come!!!

By
Home Stager with Homes Staged 2 Sell

Finally, I am on my way!  .

For years I have been driving my family nuts with the constant furniture rearrangement and now I have a name for it!  STAGING!  I can now help others doing what I love - staging!  Whodathought!  I am so excited about a career in staging and helping realtors and home owners ready their properties for resale.  Although its been slow going, I am persevering and getting my name out there.   We have done some amazing "staging" and the before and after views are amazing.

Although the concept is slow in taking off here in upstate NY - I am ready for when it finally hits!  And looking forward to hearing from local area realtors and home owners!

Until then . . . Happy Staging!

Sheila!  You're the bomb!  Look at you writing a blog - I'm so happy for you!  You go girl - go get that upstate audience!

Seriously though, I know that it's really hard being a 'pioneer' in this field - no offense to realtors, but a lot still think that they are 'staging' when in fact offering those standard suggestions are just that.  We know that there is so much more to it and you have to have the insight to know what stays, what goes and where to put everything that remains.

You just keep being who you are and getting yourself out there Sheila and THEY WILL COME!

Hey Neighbor - I'm in Rockland County NY.  And I'm having pretty much the same issue.  The Realtors know what staging is and have been pretty receptive.  Most homeowners have never heard of staging, but I'm working on it also.

It's good to talk to another NY stager!

Good Luck!

A little late in responding but thank you for your note!  It's tough going but I think eventually, they will catch on.  If any of the realtors watch TV they must see the difference on one of the HGTV shows that feature staging and I would think they have to be thinking how much it helps.  Again, thanks for your reply.  Best of luck to you!!
