New age, new changes...Turned 40 today and changing careers to become a REALTOR!

By
Real Estate Agent with Select Homes & Services

It's been a while since I last blogged. I have been working on a big interior design project and just finishing it up!

With a New Year, come new changes! I have decided to become a realtor in the Pawleys Island, Myrtle Beach area and covering the entire Grand Strand. I am looking forward to tossing my hat into the realtor ring. It's something I have always been interested in and with my birthday today, turning 40, I am going to start a new chapter in my life. I will be starting classes on March 8th,  I think...lol, so I will be blogging about my experience. I would love any advice you all have to offer. I am very blessed to have been around the real estate industry for a very long time and have seen the back side of the business with my husbands company, Smart Realty Solutions. We have been providing real estate website with IDX and Virtual offices in the Myrtle Beach, Murrells Inlet, Pawleys Island area for over 10 years. Many of the top agents use and have used our products for years. Meeting with the realtors and seeing all the intimate details of what it takes to succeed certainly gives me an added benefit.

Wish me luck and I would love to get feedback and advice from all you realtors that have been in the business for while!

Hope everyone has a blessed day!

Jennifer,

Good luck....I am getting back to real estate myself.  I was an agent for three years and then had to take a year off due to personal reasons.  I really want to do this full time.  I have been calling and emailing all of my old contacts.  In the process I am trying to find some leads.

Congratulations on the bold new strokes in your life, and happy birthday. Why do you have a picture of your teenaged daughter as your profile picture though?

Thanks Rob! Best of luck getting back into the industry! I will let you know if I can send some referrals and please let me know of anyone that is interested in my area!

Thanks for the compliment, Malcolm. The profile pic is indeed me taken a couple of weeks ago :) I have 3 children, 15 yr old son, 11 yr old daughter and 2 yr old son. Perhaps the 2 year old keeps me young :D
