The Kalamazoo area real estate market has been fluxuating for the past 5 years very dramatically for severl reasons.

The growth of the Allen Edwin Home developments in the area have created a very strong buyers market. The price of the homes and the marketing systems implemented by their team far surpasses anything around. These homes are price very low for new construction and drastically reflect in the quality of the home.
2) Job Growth
Or lack of.... The job market in the Kalamazoo and surrounding area has been poorly maintained and has suffered dramatic decreases since Pfizer (largest drug manufacturer in the country) has pulled most all operations out of Kalamazoo to Join headquarters in New Jersey.
These factors have had a big effect on our market in Kalamazoo, but if you are in the market for a home do remember one thing.
