And it came to pass................
"It has been said the greatest volume of sheer brainpower in one place occurred when Jefferson dined alone..." John Kennedy
Especially read the last quote from 1802.
When we get piled upon one another in large cities, as in Europe, we shall become as corrupt as Europe.
Thomas Jefferson
The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.
Thomas Jefferson
It is incumbent on every generation to pay its own debts as it goes.
A principle which if acted on would save one-half the wars of the world.

Thomas Jefferson said in 1802:
'I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered...'
'If you don't read the newspaper you are uninformed, if you do read the newspaper you are misinformed.'
-Mark Twain
I love Thomas Jefferson quotes. Especially the warning of the banks. It is history and he knew over 200 years ago what we would be facing today.
Jefferson definitely had some type of prescience going on, as did several of the founders and framers. Or maybe they just understood the human condition.
Jefferson lived in France during the run-up to the French Revolution and saw the damage that the government could do. He realized it could happen in America
Great quotes. We would be wise to think of them often. Time to rein in government.
Yep - Our founding fathers knew something that these new politicians never did - and that is True Christian principles to govern and freedom goes hand and hand -
Thomas Jefferson had more of a grasp on how to grow, and protect a country and the citizen's within it than all the combined Congresses of the last 25 years. He was an amazing man. His true words of wisdom have carried on as a legacy for us to remember and perhaps regain our country again.
Thomas Jefferson was one of the most forward thinking of our founding fathers. Not that the others were slouches, but he was very prolific in his writings.
Jefferson was a brilliant man, and his writings are still very relevent today.
