In the Hills of Palmdale back in early 2003 just off avenue “S” a new community named Anaverde was started.  The planned community consisting of over 4,500 single family home got under way and during the buying frenzy most if not all home were sold.  Now with the troubles with the financing in recent years a lot of the homes are coming available to qualified buyers at a huge discount.  In 2007 when the first wave of foreclosures started 30% or so in the Anaverde planed community were put on the market.  Today we are seeing more Short Sales in Anaverde due mainly to the loans term changing.  What was a comfortable monthly mortgage payment for a $500,000.00 home is now out of reach.  However the homes have come down in price typicality 50%.  A haft-a-million dollar home can be yours for $250,000…

The Anaverde planed community has won court approval to auction off the project, WOW that sounds rather frightening.  However looking behind the headlines opportunity abounds, word on the street is the city of Palmdale will come to the rescue.  With other partners are going to compete the project over the next few years, making the Anaverde planed community the jewel of Palmdale and the Antelope Valley.

There is another planed project that has stalled due to the current housing clement; I’ll be posting on this project in days to come.
