While I specialize in selling houses in Pleasant Hill, CA, I am also proud to be in possession of a very positive attitude. My glass IS half full, every cloud DOES have a silver lining, but this week Comcast has cast a dark cloud in my world and I don't like it. What better place to rant and rave than Active Rain!
We had no interest in changing to digital voice until they sent a letter stating they would discontinue us as customer's unless we did and told us over the phone we would save $80 a month for a year for packaging phone/internet and cable all in one, so sign up we did! A tech guy came out to turn all three phones at our house to digital and by the time he left we discovered our voice mail no longer worked on two phone lines: our personal and our business phone, and our third line, the fax, won't send faxes out anymore, and our main t.v. no longer got proper reception! After many phone calls to customer service a Comcast employee came out, spent 2.5 hours here and got some things fixed, the next day another Comcast employee fixed the main t.v. and this is day four and my voice mail on the home phone still does not work and the fax machine still will not send faxes and the t.v. in the bedroom does not work as well as before this nightmare began. Comcast has hired a lot of contract workers who get paid to run around and install those digital phone line modem's but in the process? They can really, really mess you up, we found out! I heard from one tech guys all his work is fixing things the contract workers mess up!
So today, I have to call Comcast yet again and proactively work to get my issues corrected.
If I had to do it again, knowing what I know now? I probably would have switched to AT&T. Any comments out there from either Comcast or AT&T customers?
