I grew up in LA and live on the North Shore of Chicago right now where there are plenty of luxury homes - I just don't think that house looks like it's worth $26Mil.  Have you seen it?

Stewart:  Hmmm... I am wondering if Mr Hanks and Ms Wilson used FHA financing ?  All kidding aside, I am sure they will be a great addition "to the neighborhood."

Stewart, I enjoy reading your posts about luxury homes.  It's quite a different world where I am at in Whittier, where the average price is just above $300,000.

Margaret - I haven't seen this house as it was never on the open market.

The Buyer and Seller negotiated without the property being formally listed.

Karen Ann - The MLS IDX isn't working today ..... but I have reported the problem.

Thanks for the heads up.

Bob - "The rich are different from you and me" said F. Scott Fitzgerald.

"Yes, they have more money" replied Ernest Hemingway.

Hi Stewart,

It would be really cool to have Woody as my neighbor!

I love the architecture. Nothing like a glass house with a view!

Best regards,

Poverty sucks, doesn't it Stewart. Good for Tom and Rita, they do good work.
