Why Do I See So Many Homes For Sale But My Realtor Does Not Show Them To Me?

A frequently asked question and concern by many buyers is, "Why Do I See So Many Homes For Sale But My Realtor Does Not Show Them To Me?" Many buyers believe that they are missing out on something. They see tons of signs around town and do not understand why their Realtor has not shown them these homes. They also might not understand why these homes are not coming up in their web searches. Well, here are a few of the reasons why.

For sale signs are placed in yards from the moment a home goes on the market. These signs stay in the yard until the house has "officially recorded under new ownership." This means that the house still has the sign out front even though an offer has already been accepted and a sale is pending.

Additionally, if these homes are outside of the criteria you entered into a search, then you also will not see them in your web searches. For example, perhaps the homes are listed for more than your price range, have less square footage, less bedrooms, etc.

Once you have entered the search criteria that is a match for your desired home, our website is set up to provide you with the most accurate and up to date homes for sale. The homes that are a match for you, will show up in your search as they become available. Try it and you can see for yourself at blog.inlandempirehomesnow.com

We get this all the time.  Not just from signs but also from what they find on realtor.com and other websites.  Even if a property is contingent it still shows up online until it becomes pending.  I encourage the buyer to ask if they want to know but after a while they begin to trust what you are sending them instead.

Another reason might be you would not show a property just outside the criteria if you worked with a particular broker in the past and the experience was less than pleasant or down right draining
