Social Media is it a Learning Curve or have you Embraced it

By
Real Estate Agent with Eastwood Homes

Social Media is the new topic of every real estate agent at the coffee pot. Should we or shouldn't we embrace it. I have certainly embraced it. Last year March 2009 I did not have a facebook or a twitter account. I didn't even know what twitter was. How could something called twitter help my business..how could facebook for that matter. I now have almost 300 FB friends and I have reconnected with old friends. It helps me keep in touch with my friends and business professionals as well as keep track of my kids. It is a great resource for what is going on in your local community. You can be as social as you want or not..you can find other people who have things in common with you or share the same hobbies.

Gerri, I agree with you that social media can be a very rewarding experience both in business and socially.  It's growing and improving and those of us who choose to engage will only benefit.

Facebook and Twitter are a real estate agents best friend.  Both are 100 times more effective than mailings and other "old school" types of follow up and marketing.

Social Media Marketing needs to be embraced

We built a web site that monitors tweets for Keller Williams in Federal Way WA. Using twitter to post up open house events. Agents will be tweeting for their customers.

Behind every tweet is a buyer/seller.

Gerri, it looks like social media is the wave of the future. It's a must to building an SOI. Thanks.
