Real Estate SHORT SALE Success Story Fairfield California-We Saved Our Credit
My name is Angie Gelangre and this is my short sale success story. My husband's income had been drastically cut and we were unable to keep up on our mortgage payments. We had tried to do a loan modification, but after months of on our lender and no answer from them, we got a notice of default. We continued to try to work with our lender to save our credit but got nowhere.
We then listed our house with a real estate agent in order to do a short sale to prevent us from foreclosure. She did nothing to help us. I think she was more interested in getting leads for buyers from my house so she makes more money on the deal. She was not successful at negotiating with our lender. Our agreement with her expired and due to the lack of service we received from her, we had a bad taste about real estate agents. She really did not seem to care if we lost or house and got a foreclosure on our credit. We felt hopeless and scared.
We then received a notice of trustee sale, telling us that our house was going to be sold on the courthouse steps in 21 days. We were desperate not to have foreclosure on our record so we began calling around to companies that do loan modifications in a final last hope of saving our credit. We felt out luck was changing. We cannot say enough about Kevin. He was responsive to our calls, told us that he would work to get the trustee sale delayed and aggressively market our house to save us from foreclosure. AND he DID save us.
He got the sale delayed, he got an IRS tax lien removed from the house so we could sell it and he even got our leaking roof fixed. Kevin is the best agent I have ever seen. He was honest, hardworking, caring and compassionate. He did not judge us for our situation. We have referred several friends and family to him and he has performed just as well for them.
When Kevin called to tell me that the sale of our house through short sale had recorded and that we would not have a foreclosure on our credit report, it felt like a 5000 pound elephant had been lifted off my chest. Since this day, I have dropped 15 pounds due to not feeling anxious all the time, my husband and my relationship has improved and I can finally sleep again. I feel like I woke up from a life of fog.
This is all due to Kevin, if I was a little older and he was a little younger, I adopt him. There will always be a place at the table for Kevin. He is always welcome in our home, because he is always in our hearts.
