The New England Sports Network (NESN), which is delivered to over 4 million homes throughout the six-state New England region and nationally via DirecTV and Dish Network, will broadcast a segment on the Waterville Valley Academy this Saturday, Feb. 27 at 10 p.m. on Sportsdesk!
Catch a sneak peak here.
The Winter Olympic games have launched a number of American athletes into the world spotlight, including skier Hannah Kearney who won gold in freestyle. Hannah cut her teeth on the slopes of Waterville Valley Resort in New Hampshire's White Mountains and was coached by Nick Preston of the Waterville Valley Black & Blue Trail Smashers Ski Club (BBTS), one of the oldest ski clubs in the country.
NESN's Naoko Funayama took a trip to the ski resort, where students spend their mornings in the classrooms and afternoons on the slopes. It's the same place where Kearney, a New Hampshire native and Vermont resident, honed her skills.
Cheers!
