Today I Truly Felt the Rewards of My Job as a Loan Officer

By
Mortgage and Lending with NATIONSTAR MORTGAGE

It was truly stressful but it finally happened.  I started working with a client on January 11th with a FICO score of 395.  I continually focused on what needed to be addressed on the credit report.  I thought it would take more than 6 months to repair.  With their hard work, mine and the Realtor, today they signed papers for their dream home.  The smiles from their faces was the REWARD!  I truly felt their joy.  Guys if you have a client with low scores, hang with them and form your team.  Like this client, many of them feel it is useless to call the Loan Officer and even try.  Dreams with a Team can come true sooner than we think.  The feeling of the REWARD is awesome when you see their happiness.  Today was a true BLESSING!

Hey Denise,

Wow, I'm with Katrina on this one! That's amazing to me, I didn't even know scores went that low.

You should be congratulated for doing such a great job for your clients. All too often others would walk away, yet you did not. Denise, you helped another on the road to homeownership.

Congratulations on excellence in your profession!

Denise,

Starting at 395 is rather low. But with professional advice and lots of patience it can be brought up to where the borrower can qualify. You did it. Congrats. And the home buyer is now a customer for life with you. And they are going to spread the word and soon the referrals will begin rolling in. Excellent example of how to build a referral base.

Outstanding Denise. I don't think I've ever had a FICO that low.

Did you hire a credit service or do this yourself?

Once again you did a real good thing here!

No credit service was involved.  I looked over the credit report and started with everything that was currently reporting and just worked our way back till we finally got the approval.  The scores just started moving up and we finally got there.  Thanks for all the encouragement everyone.

Denise, great job. And thanks for sharing with us an important aspect of what loan officers can do for a client.

What a wonderful story.  Hats off to you for caring enough to take the time to help.  So many people would have just turned their back on that one.  You have made a positive impression with those buyers and probably taught them some things they'll take with them.

Kudos Denise, the feeling of helping that family get a slice of the American Dream pie is well worth the hard work.  It is nice to know that other LO's care about their clients as well.
