Georgetown Texas - Recent Poll

By
Home Inspector with Professional Inspection Services - Georgetown, Texas

Earlier today I was reading the Community Impact newspaper and came across an interesting poll.

The question was - "Do you feel safe in your city?"

A whopping 96% of Georgetown, Texas respondents answered "Yes" in the poll.  Only 6% said "No" and no one chose the "No Opinion" option.

We moved from Austin to Georgetown 3 years ago.  We couldn't be happier with the choice we made!  I would think that a community that feels 96% safe ranks very high comparatively.  That's also got to be a great selling point for realtors and their clients looking to move to Georgetown and the surrounding area.

How safe do you feel in your community?

Thanks for reading and have a great day,

Hi Andy,  I wonder what happened to the 6% who responded negatively?  We are very fortunate to live in an area that is safe and that has a population that supports the police and sheriff's dept in their efforts. In the city where I grew up on the Gulf Coast it's disconcerting to visit now and hear gunshots in the night and constantly check to make sure the car is still untouched overnight.  We forget here in Georgetown that many people do live in fear.  We are so lucky.

I feel safe in my community, but I'm also a Realist, knowing that in today's world of shootings almost every day, anything can happen anywhere at any time.

Well, yeah.  Why on earth wouldn't you feel safe in Georgetown, Texas?  (All one has to do is read the police blotter and start giggling in order to understand that.)  Seriously, bad things can happen anywhere there are human beings, but they're just less likely too in some places, for some reason.  Georgetown seems to be one of those places.

Howdy and mornen to ya Andy

Although I live in a small town, there is alot of crime that goes on in it. Drugs is the bigges thing. The bad thing about it, is that the law turns its head to it. The bad guys are smart about one thing, they know to stay way from me and my lady, if they want to be safe. So I would say my lady and I feel mighty safe.
