Thought of the Day for Friday, July 20, 2007

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with California Lifestyle Realty

Is there a way to separate ourselves, in this chosen profession, from all of the negative reporting the media builds up?  If I was an untrained consumer my brain would be so confused by the roller coaster ride the media takes us on!  So, just another little reminder to stay positive, but honest (tuff to do ... but necessary) because as with every roller coaster ride ... when the car goes down ... it ALWAYS goes back up!

"To belittle ... is to be little!"

You are right and this is always something I try to remember whenever I see the latest media report about how backward our business is.  I try not to get mad but rather focus on pleasing my clients just that much more.  I believe that a client who has been treated very well by an agent who cares will disregard the media reports just like I do.

...one of the worst things about civilization is, that anybody that gits a letter with trouble in it comes and tells you all about it and makes you feel bad, and the newspapers fetches you the troubles of everybody all over the world, and keeps you downhearted and dismal most all the time, and it's such a heavy load for a person.
