When it comes to public safety, Hawaii Civil Defense, did a great job. The public had plenty of forwarning and enough time to be prepared. We headed for the high ground for 3 hours!

My friend on Maui went to a friend's house up the hills with 15 friends and a week's supply of food. They figured it they did that, it would fizzle. Glad it did!
