I get alot of grief for using a signature line that says "Your Personal Mortgage Consultant for Life" from co-workers and friends. Admittedly it does seem a little cheesy. I use this signature line on everything. I have it on my email signature, my post cards, my business cards, my web site, and my newsletters.
I can see where it can seem as if I may not be there for life. But I don't have plans of getting out of the mortgage profession any time soon. I love my job, I love helping people achieve their dream of home ownership.
About a week ago, I received a call from a past client. She was looking for some assistance with her association. Apparently the board has changed and she did not understand the letter received in regards to the new insurance requirements. After working through it with her, she sent me an email:

RE: liability insurance
I could not believe it was 5 years ago! And you mean it when you say you are "for Life". That will stay with me, hope your family is well too Kim, take care and enjoy the summer. Thanks for the contacts, Laura
The first call she made was to me. As a mortgage lender, I do not just provide my clients with a mortgage and send them on their way. I let each and every client know that after the closing I am available to answer any questions they have. I get calls about junk mail with ridiculous advertisements for rates at 1%, about HOA's, changing insurance companies, asking to be referred to a service professional, etc. My job and my relationship with the client does not stop at the closing table.
Of course there will always be those that call and say, Hi this is so and so, you probably don't remember me. I can say that I remember about 90% of my past clients. I form a relationship with them, so that I remember them and they remember me.
Make jokes, laugh if you will, but I am Your Personal Mortgage Consultant for Life!
What tag line do you use?
