It's A Good Day for Hockey! Canada and the U.S. Go for the Gold - Double Jeopardy!

Rivals on the Biggest Possible Stage - Does it get any more exciting?  Some say this is the biggest hockey game of all time! Tome tickets for this game have sold for as high as $60,000 dollars, with average tickets selling in the thousands. With 2 hour line ups Maple-Leaf-draped, capped and painted fans lined up at watering holes across the country - Canadians want to experience this 'one' with other Canadians.  It's fascinating to see what brings a country together.

Obviously it's not just 'a' hockey game, or even 'the' hockey game' - but it is the culmination of everything that the Vancouver Olympics has brought to Canada.

Unfortunately only one team can win the Gold.  Some people say 'home ice brings with it an advantage.  I know the U.S. has won Gold twice on home ice.  There's a lot of pressure too though, the pressure not to disappoint - and to end the Olympics with a Bang - Double jeopardy!

As I watch the people in the audience, celebrities and hockey legends, presidents and prime minsters - all I can say - is it's pretty *&^^%# amazing!

Well we shall see - I hope the best team wins - and I'm thrilled that the Gold will stay in North America.  BUT I'd by lying if I didn't say I desperately want Canada to win! And I don't think I'm the Lone Canadian  that thinks that!

That was some of the best hockey I have seen in a long time.  I spend a lot of time throughout the year in many rinks and get to see a lot of hockey live.  Nothing can beat that competition.
