Speechless Sunday - Sneakers abandoned  in the sand

Have you ever been tempted to abandon your sneakers or slippers in the sand?  I can surely understand such an urge.  After walking for some time your shoe gets filled with the sand, and the friction between shoeSneakers in the sand and sand is not a great feeling.

I do hope the owner of these sneakers did return to retreive them.

Who would wear sneakers to the beach anyway? Flip flops or bare feet, but not lace up shoes and socks!

Jennifer - I have felt tempted to abandon my shoes in lots of places, actually.  Sometimes, I just want to walk around barefoot or in socks, especially when it's hot!

Cool shot, Jennifer! If they didn't return for them, they must have been bummed when they realised it!

At almost every public access to the beach here you will see at least one pair of shoes or flip-flops.  It's very common to leave them there and pick them up on your way off the beach.  I suppose it serves as sort of a marker as well.

Craig I feel the same way, and that is why I am looking at photos from the beach.

Wanda That is the best way to be at the beach

Jane Were  you at the Cape last summer?  If so they could be yours :)

Janna you would be surprise at the footwear I have seen on the beach.  I am with, you being barefooted is so much fun, one of the few places where it is acceptable.

Laurie I did and I am very excited.  My already over-active brain won't take a break.  Ideas are floating around in my head but I know I have to be focused. Thank you for noticing.

I won't even discuss Jaws I made the mistake of watching it and I am still feeling the after effect :)

Debi Laurie said Jaws came to mind, I wonder.....

Jim and Maria I suppose that is one way of looking at it.  I like to take long walks along the beach I would probably need a GPS to those locate them:)

Yep - I abandon my sneakers nearly every time I get close to a beach!  I'm more ready for warm weather and beach ware than you can imagine!

Jennifer, I couldn't do that.  I only own one pair of shoes.  So if I did that I would have to go around bare footed, and that would not look good with a suit and tie ........ LOL

LOL - Aw who needs em anyway? You wouldn't believe what I have found hanging on trees and fence posts on my winter walks.  So many hats and mitts and scarves.  I've taken photos of them so someday I will do a little lost and not found collage.
