BIG SOUTH FORK TENNESSEE: Trail Riders Urged To Use Bridle Tags

By
Real Estate Agent with Tennessee Recreational Properties

Big South Fork National Park in Jamestown, Tennessee is horse country and, now that spring is here, trucks and trailers are making their way to the various horse campgrounds and cabins near the national park as riders come from all over this half of the country to enjoy the best trail riding east of the Mississippi.

It's not uncommon to have a loose or lost horse in a strange setting and riders are advised to invest in a small bridle tag so your horse will have his contact information handy.

Go to www.terrificpet.com and order the large tag for $4.95. It comes in black so it will be unobtrusive. Spend an extra dollar and have it engraved DOUBLE SIDED. Put your horse's name as well as your name, address, home and cell phone numbers on the front and, on the back, a description of your tow vehicle/trailer with license plate number so people can locate you quickly once they have your horse in hand.

Putting a simple inexpensive tag like this on your bridle could avert a lot of heartache and worry!

Not something I would have even considered a problem...wandering horses with no Id?  Who would have guessed?

I just wrote a long comment about a friend losing her horse for 4 days.  Then forgot to type in the graphic - even though I was signed in.... not redoing it.

What a great idea. When we first got our horse he decided to jump the fence in the pasture and head over the many mountain ridges. We put out fliers and a notice in our weekly paper and finally got a call that they thought Shiloh was in their fields with their other horses. Guess he was a little lonely, but having had this tag would have saved a lot of time and worrying for us.
