What is the Real Hollywood, Washington Connection?
If you did a Google search for Hollywood Washington, you'd most likely come up with a bunch of glitter meets power type results. Unless you looked closely, you might miss the real Hollywood, Washington connection.
Today, while touring properties, I spent some enjoyable time in Hollywood, Washington.
In Woodinville, Washington, there is a fine historical landmark brick schoolhouse built in 1912. This structure was constructed to take the place of the original one room school house in the Hollywood Hill neighborhood of Woodinville. Tradition is that the name came from all the holly bushes in the area.
The totally remodeled 16,000 square feet of indoor space is now used for special events, banquets, and weddings. It is referred to as the most charming event facility on the Eastside of Lake Washington.
The grounds are studded with fascinating antique equipment. You also can stroll through garden areas and walk across a bridge with a picturesque creek babbling underneath, which makes its way through the grounds in the back of the property.
This facility is surrounded by the many wineries, now numbering around 75, that have made Woodinville the wine center of Washington State.
So, if you want to enjoy the real Hollywood, Washington, come to Woodinville, do a little wine tasting and enjoy a relaxing experience.
Think about a special event while you are there, like maybe moving to this charming locale.
