It seems like more & more homes that i inspect have standing water in the crawl space. A lot of the time its do to poor drainage around the house.
Other possible problems could be from the down spouts, underground springs & not having a sump pump that is hooked up & working. leaky pipes seem to also play a big factor in the moisture problem.
I always recommend to home owners that they should have an annual inspection for preventing these & other types of problems that could cause there family an inconvience & costly repairs after the damage is already done.
