Frisco Education and School System
Frisco ISD continues to be the fastest growing school district in the state of Texas. During the past six years, FISD has grown 20-30 percent annually in student population. Within the 72 square miles of the city’s district, FISD serves residents of Collin and Denton Counties including residents of Frisco, and some portions of Plano, Little Elm and McKinney. Our public school system has also been one of the strong reasons why people buy real estate in Frisco TX . When compared to the public education systems with the rest of the country, Frisco, Prosper, Plano, Allen and McKinney school districts are competitive and have been compared to a private education system. Frisco Independent School District schools are ranked top 10% in Texas. The student-teacher ratio is low this gives students the proper attention and a quality education. School children start at age 5-6 in Kindergarten through 5th Grade in Elementary school, 6th, 7th and 8th graders are in Middle School and 9th-12th go to high school. Higher education classes are also available to Frisco residents. Frisco is home to the Preston Ridge campus of the Collin County Community College. Just a few miles away, Plano is also home to the Southern Methodist University (SMU) Plano campus as well as the University of Dallas.
