Fountain Beach ResortThe resort started 2010 with a surprise twist, when the Condominium Association Manager, who also  wore the hat of a General Manager, was let go without much ado. Why? We most probably would never know.

The old company packed their stuff and vacated the office that they used as their headquarters for a couple of years and left. The rumor has it that they were tired of the duties of General Manager, as they actually do not really now the hotel business, this was not their forte, so they wanted to relinquish those duties and concentrate on Association Management, which is their area of specialization. Was the board angry with that decision, or not, but they decided to cut them off the property altogether.

The new management company is from Palm Coast, they are not going to wear two hats, and the only hat they wear is not an on-site one. This is a pretty common arrangement, when the Association Management Company has no presence on the property. They prepare the budget, help run monthly meetings, collect and disburse the money, and usually do not show on the premises too often.

Obviously, this is a serious change, and it most probably would reflect on the operations of the Condo-owners Association, but for now these changes are not yet obvious.
Time will tell.

Meanwhile, the monthly Association Fee has inched up just a couple of dollars and went from $338 to $344.50.

There are only 10 units for sale in the Fountain Beach Resort. Of course, at $35K as starting price, this reminds me of 2003. What I know, is that after 2003 with its low prices, there was 2005-2006 with its crazy prices, peaking at $120K per studio. From $30K to $120K in one year, that's what I remember.
And I am pretty sure that after 2010 there will be 2011, 2012, and 2013... It has always been this way.

Jon, I'm not commenting on your content, but on your company logo.  I love it!  I don't know why I never noticed it before.  It does everything a logo should.  Those 3 pair of bare feet full of sand make me want to head to Daytona!
