Technician tried to scam my client out of over $4000

I recently posted a blog about a technician from a pest control company who tried unsuccessfully to scam my client out of over $4700.

Fortunately, I was able to intervene and prevent the scam.

Last week I had the annual termite and moisture inspection on my home.  This inspection was done by a different pest control company than the one that tried to scam my client. I told the technician about the attempted scam.  To my surprise, he asked me if XXXX XXXXXXX was the pest control company that had tried to scam my client, which was the company.  He said that he had heard similar stories about this pest control company in the past.  The fact that my technician guessed the name of the other company based on their bad reputation tells me that people will find out about companies that pull these types of scams. It also shows me just how low some people will go to get money.

I am so sorry to hear stories like this! I know that there are some unethical termite companies around here too!

heard one the other day about a furnace company.. told a family that they needed a new furnace, sold it to them, delayed the delivery and in the meantime they had it re-checked out and repaired for very little... When confronted, the company said that they returned their furnace that they were supposed to get and that they would have to sue him to get their full payment back.  yes, it is sad that there are unethical people out there in all industries.... keep a good lookout...
