This year, SpringFest will be happening in Old Town Spring, TX, on Saturday and Sunday, March 6th and 7th. One of the largest wine tasting events in the Houston area, SpringFest not only offers fantastic wines from all over Texas, but also offers live music and art to enjoy. Old Town Spring's very own Wimberley Valley Wines will be just one of the wineries displaying their wares. This is a great way to taste local wines before you purchase them and be exposed to all that Texas wineries have to offer. Sixteen different Texas wineries have already signed up for the event.

If you are not a wine drinker, don't despair. SpringFest will also be presenting micro-brew beer tastings. And, as always, there is plenty of good snack food available. In addition to the wine and beer tasting, participants in this year's Old Town SpringFest will be able to view original artwork from local artisans. Artwork includes photography, handmade crafts, jewelry, knives and wood carvings in addition to hand-painted art.
Admission to SpringFest is absolutely free. However, wine-tasting tickets will cost $20 in advance or $25 at the door. Each wine-tasting ticket will get you one commemorative wine glass and five tastings. If you wish to purchase additional tastings, they will cost $1 each. All proceeds from SpringFest will go to benefit the Spring Preservation League, a local nonprofit group dedicated to keeping Old Spring Town beautiful and preserve its history.
