Lee County Growing

Despite a lagging economy and high unemployment rate Lee County is growing. The county could grow by more than 75,000 in the next five years according to a recent study by University of Florida.

A study released Monday by the University of Florida's Bureau of Economic and Business Research projects Lee County will see a small increase of 1,500 this year over last, but as many as 75,000 more could follow in the next five years and the population could reach more than 1 million by 2035 - an increase of more than 400,000.

the economy is correcting itself and we still have gulf waters, sandy beaches, golf, sunshine, warmth (80ish tues/wed). so why wouldn't they come?
