Vancouver is full of stellar Chinese restaurants and one of my favourite places is Hon's Wun-Tun House. They do quick, no nonsense, tasty Chinese fare for super cheap. There are a few locations but I prefer the one on Robson. (1339 Robson to be exact). After a day shopping on Robson Street or walking in Stanley Park, it is easy to pop in and have a delicious snack. The Robson Street location is a "nothing fancy" large diner with two kitchens - a meat kitchen and a purely vegetarian kitchen for those who watch mixing the two food groups. Your orders will arrive fast so you will be gobbling your food in no time.
Hon's is known for their pot stickers. You can get them steamed or pan fried with a variety of fillings. The pan fried ones are great because they are crispy but they are greasier so if that is a concern, get them steamed. I also love their noodles...especially the Singapore Noodles which come on a very full plate. Usually the boy-friend and I order pot stickers, noodles and a veggie dish. The total is generally somewhere in the $20 range so it is a fabulous deal.
The next time you are in the area, give them a try. You will find more information at their website:
